Pranit More Apologised For Misogynistic Remarks

Pranit More apologised for the remarks made on his show and stated that they didn't represent his opinions. However, as the video went viral on social media, several influencers commented, many of whom questioned the comedian's choice to share the exchange online in addition to the audience members' remarks.

He stated, "I've seen the criticism regarding a recent crowdwork clip. The comments made by the audience member do not reflect my views. Looking back, I should have challenged the remark instead of laughing and moving on. That was a lapse in judgement on my part."

The stand-up comedian added, "I appreciate everyone who raised their concerns respectfully. I sincerely apologise for whatever happened, and I’ll take this lesson forward. I’m human, and like anyone else, I’m constantly learning."

Kusha Kapila, Sakshi Shivdasani REACT To Pranit More's Apology

Influencer and actress Kusha Kapila responded to the incident by posting a number of videos on Instagram, making the case that responsibility extends beyond the individual who made the statement.

Additionally, Kusha Kapila suggested that rather than encouraging bad behaviour, material providers should call it out. "But jo mere audience ke views hain, wo mere views nahin hai? Ho sakte hain agar aap usko clip karke uski reel daalenge. Uss par editor ne kaam kiya hai, us par yeh socha gaya hai ki usko 90 second ki clip kaise banayi jaaye. Jab sab hai, to aap kaise keh sakte hain ki aapke views reflect nahin hote hain? Agar aap un views ko badhava de rahe hain, shabashi de rahe hain, to wo to aapke bhi views hain," she said.

Sakshi Shivdasani, a social media personality, has criticised Pranit for attempting to disassociate himself from the incident. "Pranit More saying 'the views of my audience members don't reflect what I think' but sir has clipped it and posted it on Instagram because he found it so f**king funny that a man paying on a date thinks he has bought the right to sleep with a woman."
