Ranveer Singh is currently basking in the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar, becoming the new emperor of Indian box Office. His performance as Hamza and Jaskirat has truly left a mark. Now, after watching a clip, he feel his nationalism and patriotism is what makes a difference and there could be no better choice.

Ranveer is earning a lot of praise for his portrayal of Jaskirat and Hamza in Aditya Dhar directorial. While the franchise got a lot of love, many have also criticised the film and called it propaganda. Amidst the success of Dhurandhar 2, Ranveer's old clip talking about India's ban on Pakistani artists has now gone viral.

Ranveer said at the India Today Conclave in 2019, "I am cognisant that there is one school of thought that one should not mix art with it or sport with it. These are different realms and the boundaries are separate. But at the same time us as artistes, sportsmen or spectators, we are not sacrificing the way some of our compatriots are."

"If there are people in the forces or their near and dear ones what their sentiments are should have the highest value. If there is one mother of a soldier who believes, we should not engage, then we should respect the sentiment. I think what they want should be of utmost importance to us," he further added.

Netizens reacted as this clip went viral. A user shared this video and wrote, "Ranveer singh was the perfect choice for a film like #Dhurandhar," adding, "He said this way before dhurandhar in 2019!!" Someone wrote, "He's way too articulate, eloquent, and smarter than 90% of Bollywood but people couldn't see beyond his choice of clothes. Deepika, you lucked out."

Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Collection

As of April 15, 2026 (Day 27), Dhurandhar 2 (Dhurandhar: The Revenge) has achieved a massive worldwide gross collection of over RS 1,727 crore, according to Sacnilk. The Ranveer Singh-starrer has dominated the box office, becoming the fourth-highest-grossing Indian film ever, with an India net collection surpassing Rs 1,095 crore.
