The much-awaited biopic on legendary actress Madhubala is currently in development, and fans are eagerly waiting to know who will step into her iconic role. While several actresses have been considered, recent reports suggest that Sharvari is emerging as a strong contender. Although no official confirmation has been made, the casting buzz has already created excitement across the industry.

The team behind the production of the Madhubala biopic is on a hunt for the perfect lead actress to star in the film. According to the News18 report, Sharvari is currently among the top choices for the role. A source has stated that there is increasing talk about her being in talks with the makers to star in the biopic. But no formal confirmation has been given out yet.

Other Lead Actresses In Madhubala Biopic Race

Other than Sharvari, there are also other names that have reportedly been considered for the role. This includes Sara Arjun, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Sai Pallavi, and Aneet Padda. In addition, Aneet Padda was recently reported to be one of the options. However, even with several candidates, the makers haven’t yet settled on the lead actress. 

Madhubala Film’s Direction and Updates

The biopic is being directed by Jasmeet K Reen, famous for directing films like Darlings, Pati Patni aur Woh and others. This movie is in its initial phases, and much information is likely to come out about casting and other production aspects shortly from the filmmakers themselves.

Sharvari’s Work Front And Upcoming Projects

Meanwhile, Sharvari continues to stay busy with multiple films. She will next be seen in Main Vaapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali, which is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026.

She also has YRF’s upcoming spy film Alpha, co-starring Alia Bhatt. The film, which faced delays due to VFX work, is now set to hit theatres on July 10, 2026.

Additionally, Sharvari is working on Munjya 2 and Yeh Prem Moh Liya, where she stars alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. The film has already begun shooting in Mumbai, with several on-set glimpses going viral online.
