Peddi Box Office Collection Day 6: Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, debuted in theatres on June 4 after a paid premiere on June 3. The controversy and criticism surrounding the female lead's portrayal haven't really affected the Telugu movie, and it doesn't appear to be slowing down. However, there was a noticeable decline during the week.

Peddi made Rs 9.65 crore net in India on Tuesday, taking its domestic total to Rs 179.35 crore, according to the trade website Sacnilk. The movie witnessed an occupancy rate of 26.51% for 7554 shows.
Peddi witnessed an anticipated decline on Monday, but it still made Rs 12.05 crore with 22.4% occupancy over 7905 shows. Despite widespread promotion in the North, the Telugu sports drama has fared better in Telugu than in Hindi.
Peddi made Rs 18.50 crore at the box office, with an opening of Rs 51 crore. However, since then, the movie's occupancy has dropped but remained stable. It brought in Rs 26.90 crore on Friday and Rs 29.10 crore on Saturday. On Sunday, the movie made Rs 32.15 crore, a significant increase.

The trade analysts are keenly monitoring its weekday trend to determine how well the movie holds up before the second weekend. Its chances at the box office could be further enhanced by a big weekend surge.

Peddi Box Office Collection Worldwide
The movie is still doing well outside of India. In just six days, the sports drama's global gross collections had surpassed Rs 315 crore.
Despite the anticipated dip in weekday sales, the global milestone retains the movie among the biggest Telugu releases of the year.

The movie centers on an aata coolie (player for hire) who battles for his people's identity because their hamlet doesn't even have a name or basic facilities. He uses sports as a means of making his voice known, progressing from cricket to kushti (wrestling) to running before, after years, he is finally acknowledged. Although the film's plot was acclaimed in early reviews, criticism of Janhvi's portrayal quickly followed.
