Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday thanked United States President Donald Trump for his warm wishes after his congratulatory message. Trump had congratulated him on becoming India’s longest-serving PM and described him as a “strong, healthy, and wise man.”

In his response, PM Modi expressed appreciation for Trump’s warm wishes and said he looks forward to working closely with him to further strengthen India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. He emphasised that deeper cooperation between the two nations would serve their mutual interests.

PM Modi wrote on X, “Thank you, President Trump, for your warm wishes. I look forward to working with you to further advance the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, for the benefit of both our nations and the world. @POTUS @realDonaldTrump.”

Trump Praises PM Modi

In a post on Truth Social, Trump described the milestone as historic and praised Modi’s leadership. He wrote, “Congratulations to my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on becoming India’s longest-serving Prime Minister – And a Great One he is! He is a strong, healthy, and wise man, and will have many years of Greatness and Success ahead of him! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

World Leaders Congratulate PM Modi

PM Modi reached a historic milestone by becoming India’s longest-serving Prime Minister, completing an unbroken tenure of 4,399 days in office. With this, he has surpassed the record of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Several other world leaders also extended congratulatory messages to PM Modi, praising this remarkable achievement.

Sergio Gor Extends Congratulations

US Ambassador to India Ambassador Sergio Gor took to social media and praised PM Modi’s leadership in the past 12 years. “Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. This achievement is a powerful testament to his decades of dedicated public service and leadership! Wishing him all the best!” he wrote.

Scott Morrison Calls PM Modi ‘True Statesman’

Australia's former Prime Minister Scott Morrison congratulated PM Modi and praised him for transforming India's economy. "Warm congratulations to PM @narendramodi on becoming India's longest-serving elected Prime Minister. A true statesman who has transformed India's economy and standing in the world. Proud of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership we built together," Morrison posted on X.

Malaysian PM Lauds PM Modi’s Role

Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, praised PM Modi for his years of dedicated public service and leadership in advancing India's development. "This achievement stands as a testament to his years of dedicated public service and leadership in advancing India's development, prosperity and standing on the global stage," Ibrahim said.

Italian PM Giorgia Meloni Congratulates PM Modi

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also congratulated PM Modi on becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history. She wrote on X, "Congratulations to @narendramodi who today becomes the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in the history of India. It has been a pleasure to meet again in Rome in recent weeks and to launch together a Special Strategic Partnership that looks to the future to create new opportunities for our Nations and our peoples."
