United States President Donald Trump has once again grabbed attention with an unusual comment about Indian-origin Google CEO Sundar Pichai. During a meeting with top technology leaders at the White House on Tuesday (local time), Trump called Pichai a “monster” drawing instant reaction from other tech leaders present.

Trump Calls Pichai A 'Monster'

The comment came as Trump invited Pichai to speak during the White House lunch. Pichai had just started talking when Trump interrupted him and began talking about the powerful executives sitting around the table. “You have no idea who these people are. These are the biggest people in the world. You have no idea who they are," Trump said.

He then specifically pointed toward Pichai and said, “This guy is a monster, and nobody knows him. What a great life! To be a monster and not have to go through this”. Trump then took Pichai’s name and added, “All you have to know is- SUNDARR! Sundar is his name.” The video of the moment has gone viral on social media and received mixed reactions from netizens.

Pichai took the comment in a humorous way. After hearing Trump call him a “monster,” he responded, “Hopefully a better tagline than I’m a monster!” As the Google CEO made this remark, people around him laughed and the exchange continued.

Google’s parent company, Alphabet, is one of the biggest companies in the technology industry. Indian-American business executive Pichai has been the CEO of Google since 2015 and CEO of Alphabet Inc. since 2019.

The White House lunch, with a meeting focused on artificial intelligence, was attended by several major names from the technology world. Among the attendees were Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, OpenAI President Greg Brockman, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
