The Vivo brand has got everything in place for launching another T series mobile phone in India, and that will be a 5G version of its Vivo T5 Pro model. This will be the second device in the lineup after the Vivo T5x 5G, and it looks like Vivo is trying to push performance and battery life this time.

The launch is scheduled for April 15 at 12 PM, and once it goes official, the phone will be available through Vivo’s online store, Flipkart, and retail partners. Listings have already gone live, so most of the key details are out.

Starting with the expected pricing, reports suggest the Vivo T5 Pro 5G could land somewhere between Rs 30,000 and Rs 33,000. That puts it slightly above its predecessor, the Vivo T4 Pro, which launched at Rs 27,999.

Performance-wise, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. On paper, it sits a bit below the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 seen in the previous model, but Vivo seems to be compensating with other upgrades. You also get UFS 3.1 storage and a large 7000mm² VC cooling system, which the company claims is the biggest in this segment.

The display is clearly another highlight. The device is expected to feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. Vivo is also claiming a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits, which, if it holds up in real-world use, could make outdoor visibility significantly better.

The thing about this phone that is most likely going to be discussed is its battery. This new Vivo smartphone will have an enormous battery of 9,020mAh, which is quite large for its class. Furthermore, it has 90W fast charging, and the plan is to match them up.

On the camera side, the setup is fairly straightforward. You get a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, paired with a 2-megapixel bokeh lens. For selfies, there’s a 32-megapixel front camera. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps.

Overall, the Vivo T5 Pro 5G looks like it’s trying to stand out with battery life and display, rather than just raw processing power. Whether that trade-off works will depend on how it performs once it’s actually in users’ hands.
