watchOS App Telegram: Telegram has expanded its ecosystem on Apple devices with the launch of a dedicated app for Apple Watch, bringing a wide range of messaging features directly to the wearable. The move marks Telegram's return to watchOS after several years without an official smartwatch application and gives users a far richer experience than simply receiving notifications on their wrist.
The new Telegram app allows Apple Watch users to stay connected without constantly reaching for their iPhone. Once installed and linked, users can access their chats, browse contacts, send and receive messages, listen to voice notes, view stickers, watch GIFs and videos, and even share their live location directly from the watch.
Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov announced the launch through a post on X, confirming that the company has officially brought a native Telegram experience back to Apple's smartwatch platform.

To get started, users need to pair the watch app with Telegram on their iPhone by scanning a QR code. The sign-in process is similar to logging into Telegram Web or the desktop application. Those who have enabled Telegram's cloud password feature will also be required to complete the additional verification step before accessing their account.
Once the app is set up, it gives easy access to past conversations and contacts, enabling users to handle most aspects of Telegram straight from the watch. The inclusion of media playback features for animations, video clips, and voice messages adds more value and makes the experience almost comparable to that on a mobile device.

Telegram originally introduced support for Apple Watch in 2015 but later discontinued the app and dropped native watchOS compatibility. The latest release reverses that decision and restores official smartwatch support. Interestingly, Telegram did not prominently mention the Apple Watch app in its latest App Store release notes, despite the feature arriving as part of the newest update.
The rollout is currently reaching users in markets where Telegram is available. Until now, many Apple Watch owners relied on third-party solutions to access Telegram on their wearables. With the arrival of the official app, users can once again enjoy a native Telegram experience designed specifically for watchOS.
