Battery life has become one of the biggest battlegrounds in the smartphone market, and Realme is trying to make a bold statement with its latest launch. The new Realme P4R 5G arrives in India with an enormous 8,000mAh battery, a capacity rarely seen in mainstream smartphones, alongside a high-refresh-rate display and a MediaTek chipset aimed at budget gamers.
The company says the phone can deliver up to three days of usage on a single charge, while the battery is designed to retain more than 80 per cent of its original health even after 1,600 charging cycles. To complement the large battery, Realme has included support for 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, bypass charging for gaming sessions, and reverse wired charging.
Up front, the Realme P4R 5G sports a 6.8-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and peak brightness of 1,200 nits. Under the hood sits MediaTek's Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Realme is also leaning heavily into AI-powered features. The handset comes with tools such as AI Eraser 2.0, AI Ultra Clarity, AI Unblur, AI Portrait Glow, AI-powered document scanning, and Google Gemini integration. Battery-focused features like AI Night Charging Mode and AI Long-Life Battery management are also included.
As far as the camera is concerned, there is a main rear-facing camera that comes with 50 megapixels, whereas the selfies can be captured using an 8-megapixel front camera. The camera’s features include Night Mode, Motion Photos, Portrait Mode, Cinematic Video, and Time-Lapse and Slow Motion.
Additionally, the brand has included a cooling system called the 5,300 sq mm vapor chamber for controlling temperatures during long hours of playing games. Other connectivity options provided by this smartphone include 5G technology, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 5, Dual SIM capability, and USB Type C.
Durability is another area Realme is highlighting. The P4R 5G comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification and the company's ArmourShell Tough Build protection.

The Realme P4R 5G starts at Rs. 18,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. The 6GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs. 20,999, while the 6GB + 256GB version costs Rs. 22,999. Buyers can choose between Titanium Glare, Silver Glare and Lavender Glare finishes.
