Nvidia has made an announcement that the gaming community in India will resonate well with. The chip makers' cloud gaming service, GeForce NOW, will soon be available in the country starting April 16. This launch has seen delays, and the company had previously estimated a launch window that will take place in Q1 of this year, and following that comes this announcement. Although it might not be a full-fledged rollout and might not be available to everyone at its launch taking place on April 16, people who have already registered for GeForce NOW on Nvidia's website will most probably get to see the early access.

As posted by the chip maker on X, the early access will include access to titles like Resident Evil Requiem, Fortnite, Counter Strike 2, and International Edition Cricket 26. The chip makers' post said, “The wait is almost over—GeForce NOW launches this GFN Thursday, April 16, for early access in India.”

 

What Is Nvidia's Cloud Gaming Service?

GeForce NOW by Nvidia is a cloud gaming platform. What it basically lets you do is play games on your PC or stream on your PC via a remote server rather than actually having to run it on your PC. So if you don't have the requirements, this service saves you a lot; all you need is a stable internet connection. Cloud-based gaming is compatible device-wide and can be accessed on laptops, desktops, smartphones, smart TVs, and any other device compatible enough.

Nvidia's service is integrated across various game libraries like Steam, Epic, etc. There are various membership tiers in this service that Nvidia provides, with the higher tier plans giving users some extra advantages, like access to better servers, longer gameplay sessions, and some increased graphical fidelity features like ray tracing and higher frame rates for a more premium gaming experience, although the pricing of these servers and plans in India remains under wraps.
