Google is taking another step in order to provide easily accessible education to Indian students and to help them prepare for one of the most difficult exams in the country. The company has just launched NEET UG mock tests on its AI suite, Google Gemini. This will give students the opportunity to try their hands on the practice test and for free. Usually students have to depend on paid test series from institutions; with this, more and more students will be able to take the test series. Google has taken a similar step before as well with SAT and JEE exams, where it was providing mock tests.

This mock test has been developed in collaboration with popular educational platforms like Physics Wallah and Careers360. Google says these partnerships are meant to keep things as close to the real NEET UG exam as possible, whether it’s the question pattern, format, or overall difficulty. For students, that essentially means you’re practising in an environment that feels very similar to the actual test.
This isn’t the first time Google has done something like this. It has already rolled out mock test support for exams like the SAT and JEE Main earlier. But with NEET UG now added, the platform is clearly targeting a much larger base of medical aspirants across India.
One of the biggest advantages here is how Gemini handles feedback. Once you finish a test, you don’t just see your score and move on. You can actually ask the AI to explain answers step by step. That way, if you make a mistake, you will know straight away why, without the need for any additional assistance or having to use another source.
For the moment, the mock exams are only available in the English language, though other languages are on their way. In order to be able to take advantage of these tests, you must have a live Google Gemini account. Once you’re signed in, the feature is already live and available.
How To Take The Test
If you want to try it out, just open the Gemini app or website and log in with your Google account. Then type something like “I want to take a NEET mock exam,” and the test will begin. After you complete it, submit your answers and review the results. If anything feels unclear, you can ask Gemini to break it down and help you improve.
