Canva Offline: Canva has announced that it will be rolling out Canva Offline. This new feature will give its users the ability to continue with their work, like editing, etc., without any internet access. The company has expressed that it has catered to one of the most requested capabilities from the community worldwide. This new offline mode will allow users to keep going with their work or projects even when they are travelling, during their classes or in places where internet connectivity is unreliable.

Canva Offline Rollout

Canva, in its press, has not said that this move was taken specifically to tackle any barriers that occur due to loss of connectivity or remove connectivity as a hurdle in itself when it comes to creativity and productivity. The feature first made its way to the Canva Create event, and now it's being rolled out for users worldwide.

With this new feature, as the company says, users can save their creativity/designs for future use and offline access. Users can access it and continue with their work across all the supported devices and formats without the need to be connected to the internet; most importantly, changes that a user makes offline get saved automatically as soon as the connection is restored.

The good news here for users would be that this feature will be available at no additional charge. Canva has also said that users can edit and continue with their productivity offline for 14 days after the offline support is turned on. It is also fairly simple to use; you will just need to select the 'Make available offline' option on the creative the user is on before they lose internet connection.

Canva also pointed to India as one of its fastest expanding markets, noting that the new Offline Mode was built specifically with mobile-first users in mind. The feature is aimed at people who frequently create content while travelling or working in areas with unreliable internet connectivity.

Speaking about the launch, Rob Kawalsky, Global Head of Product at Canva, said, “Offline mode reflects our commitment to building for the way India creates today: mobile-first, always moving, and full of ideas.”

The latest rollout follows Canva's recent integration with Google Gemini through the Canva connected app. Powered by Canva's proprietary foundation model, the integration allows users to create designs within Gemini and then continue editing them directly in Canva's editor. Teams can further refine projects, remix designs, or pass them on to colleagues without needing to recreate work from scratch.

With the partnership also came Google's Nano Banana image generation tool to Canva's Magic Layers feature, expanding upon the platform's AI-powered creative capabilities.
