MP Water Contamination: Following the recent water contamination cases in Indore, a new outbreak of illness linked to contaminated drinking water has been reported in Guna city, Madhya Pradesh. The incident has emerged from the Bude Balaji area in Wards 8 and 9, where several children have fallen ill over the past three to four days.

The affected children have been experiencing symptoms including vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Around 12 children, aged between 3 and 12 years, have been admitted to the pediatric ward of the District Hospital. In addition, four to five children are receiving treatment at private healthcare facilities.

Patients Diagnosed with Jaundice and Hepatitis A

Medical examinations have confirmed that the affected children have tested positive for jaundice and Hepatitis A. Doctors suspect that contaminated drinking water is the primary source of the infections.

Prakash, a resident of the Bude Balaji area, said that his 13-year-old son Jeet and daughter Rudraksh were admitted to the District Hospital after developing symptoms of infection along with vomiting and diarrhea.
