In a bizarre incident, a man from Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur had married his mother-in-law in a court marriage. The couple claimed to have entered into a court marriage with mutual consent. Police have launched an investigation into the case.

Reports say that the incident occurred in the Akbarpur area. The unusual duo has also shared a video of their marriage on social media. In the clip, the two were captured wearing garlands and holding a marriage certificate. The post read the caption that the son-in-law has married his mother-in-law.

The video also includes a romantic song about court marriages, asking for blessings from viewers.

The residents say that the woman and her son-in-law shared a close relationship for a long time. Police claimed that they have not received any complaints from either of the parties yet. There has been no official disclosure of documentation of their marriage yet.
