A shocking case of robbery has come to light in Uttar Pradesh's Huzurpur, where a gang broke into two neighbours' houses and stole cash and jewellery worth lakhs. They first targeted BJP Mandal President Chandrabhan Singh's house and then broke into his neighbour's house. Police claim goods and cash worth Rs 30 lakhs were stolen from both residences. Two people have been arrested in the case.

Victims Narrate Their Experiences

Singh narrated how their carelessness inflicted a heavy loss upon them. The victim said that while he and his family were sleeping on the terrace area at night, the thieves came in. At around 2 am, thieves entered the house through the roof. The robbers, breaking the lock, unlocked the cupboard.

According to Singh, the thieves had stolen gold and silver jewellery along with a cash amount of Rs 25,000. When the family awoke in the morning, they found that all their household items had been scattered throughout the rooms. Station House Officer Shamsher Bahadur Singh arrived at the scene and investigated. The police have filed a case against unknown persons and have begun the investigation.

How  Did A Temple Visit Backfire

The neighbours, Ankit Singh and his wife, went to the Mari Mata Temple for a visit. One of their relatives, Adarsh Singh, told Jagran that the two, after returning home at 6 pm on Monday, discovered that their door was wide open and all the household items were scattered outside.

The couple realised that approximately jewellery and cash worth Rs 5 lakh had been stolen from their house. The victim has filed a complaint naming two people. The station in-charge stated that both have been taken into custody and are being interrogated. Further legal action will be taken after this.
