“The Prime Minister should adopt my daughter,” the mother of the 15-year-old who used abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said on Sunday. This comes two days after PM Modi had posted a video message on social media, saying he has “forgiven the misguided children.”

“We should be provided a place to live. The Prime Minister should adopt my daughter. My daughter’s father is no longer alive, and she deserves her rights. Every daughter gets a place in her father’s home. My daughter and son should live together in the same house, and they should get their rightful share. If she were in her own hom" she said.

The girl’s mother said, "PM Modi has shown greatness by forgiving a daughter of the country who had used such dirty words. I thank him with folded hands." Her mother has also appealed to PM Modi to also get the FIR registered against her dropped.

"How can we say we are ashamed? We are aware of our mistake. I request Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, please remove the FIR filed against her under the wrong name and age so she could live in peace. Now she is under your supervision," the mother said.

Mother Urges to Ban Social Media for Under-Age Children

The teenager's mother urged the prime minister to ban the use of social media for underage children, stating that they are vulnerable and become easy targets for those trying to take advantage.

"My humble request to PM Modi is that Instagram and Facebook should be stopped for children under 18. They should be allowed to study only. They should not be allowed to protest sites. These children can be easily taken advantage of. Small children don't know anything about the world or respect elders," she added.

"I felt that everything was over. He forgave me immediately. I started crying because the same person against whom I used such bad words has forgiven me. I used wrong words, and forgiving me after that is a very big thing," the teenager added.

PM Modi’s Video Message

Last Friday, PM Modi posted a video message on social media, saying, "They are misguided children. It is our duty to show them the way. Punishing them and dragging them through courts and harassing them will not change the circumstances. I want to forgive them. I request society also to accept what I am saying," he said.

The FIR

The Noida Police, on Wednesday, filed a 'Zero FIR' based on a complaint over the remarks against the prime minister. The FIR identified the accused as Ruchika Singh, 25. Her mother, however, clarified that the name and age mentioned in the FIR were wrong. She urged the prime minister to get the case against her dropped so she could lead a peaceful life.
