On Wednesday, a meeting was held at the Collectorate, and the members of the high-level committee directed all outsourcing and contracting agencies to pay wages directly into workers' bank accounts and provide payslips.

Meanwhile, DM Medha Rupam, after a meeting late on Tuesday night, has also issued a strict warning to the outsourcing agencies that if any incident of disturbance, violence or indiscipline occurs by the workers recruited by them, the concerned agency will be blacklisted, and its license will be cancelled.

The DM stated in the meeting that the responsibilities of outsourcing agencies in the district have been determined.

Despite being called for negotiations on several occasions during the workers' unrest, the agency representatives did not arrive, which the DM expressed displeasure over. She clarified that the role of the agency operators is also under suspicion and is being investigated.
