Naidunia Representative, Bhopal: A high-profile murder has been reported in Bhopal's Suraj Nagar area, under the Ratibad police station limits. Retired IAS officer Rakesh Agarwal was allegedly murdered with his throat slit at his residence. After receiving information about the incident, Ratibad police, senior officials, and a forensic team rushed to the spot and launched an investigation into the case.

Former Officer Was Present At Home With Wife

According to Naidunia, Rakesh Agarwal lived with his wife at their residence in Suraj Nagar. Preliminary investigations raise suspicions on a domestic servant, who has been missing since the incident.

Delhi IRS Officer’s Daughter Murder Case

Earlier in April, an IRS officer's daughter was raped and murdered in Delhi. The accused, a former employee of the victim’s family, entered the residence in Kailash Hills, using hidden keys and allegedly raped the 22-year-old IIT graduate. He then allegedly dragged the victim down from the fourth floor to the third floor in an unsuccessful attempt to unlock a fingerprint-access locker,.

According to the postmortem report, the 22-year-old daughter of an IRS officer died due to strangulation. As per the officials, the body had multiple external injuries, including abrasions and contusions on both arms, hands, and legs, along with multiple lacerations and abrasions on the face and a fracture of the nasal bone.

The accused reportedly stole around Rs 1.5-2 lakh in cash and jewellery worth around Rs 10 lakh in a black backpack he found in the house and left.
