Jagran Correspondent, Nagpur | Security agencies across Maharashtra have been alerted after receiving an email threatening to bomb several government and administrative offices in Maharashtra, on Wednesday. The email claims to target the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur, the Maharashtra Chief Minister's Office (CMO), and the mayoral offices of Mumbai and Pune.
Khalistan National Army Sends Bomb Threat Letter
According to reports, the bomb threat email was sent in the name of a group, the Khalistan National Army. The email threatens to detonate IEDs at various locations, prompting an immediate investigation by the police, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), and central security agencies.

Massive Search Operation Launched
Following a bomb threat received at the Mumbai Mayor's office, Mumbai Police personnel with the Dog squad searched and secured the BMC office. Along with the threat to the BMC office, a threat to blow up the National Stock Exchange (NSE) building was also received. Mumbai Police and the bomb squad carried out a search operation. The security at the relevant offices has been increased. In some locations, employees were evacuated, and the premises were searched. Bomb disposal squads and search teams conducted a thorough search of the entire area, but no suspicious objects were recovered.
The Pune Municipal Corporation office also received a threatening email, which mentions the Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai and the RSS headquarters in Nagpur.
Cyber experts are being sought to trace the source of the email. Investigating agencies are currently trying to determine whether this is a prank or part of a serious conspiracy.
Police have appealed to citizens to ignore rumours and cooperate with the administration. Security has been tightened at sensitive and important locations across the state, and all security agencies have been placed on high alert.
