Jagran Correspondent, Ranchi: The monsoon has once again become fully active in Jharkhand. According to the latest forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather will remain unstable in most parts of the state from August 2 to 5.
During this period, light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds of up to 40 to 50 km per hour are expected in many districts. The impact of the rain may be particularly severe in the southern and central Jharkhand districts. In view of the warning of lightning and strong winds, people have been advised to remain alert.

Jharkhand Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days
According to the Meteorological Department, Jharkhand's skies will remain cloudy for the next five days. Intermittent rain is also possible in many areas. Daytime temperatures may initially rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius during this period, but are expected to drop after the rains.
Despite the rain, the state recorded above-normal maximum temperatures for several days. Saraikela was the hottest, recording a high of 35.5 degrees Celsius. Humidity also troubled residents in Chaibasa at 34.4 degrees Celsius and Jamshedpur at 34.8 degrees Celsius. Ranchi, recorded a maximum temperature of 30.4 degrees Celsius, 0.8 degrees above normal.
Rain Lashed Ranchi, Hazaribagh In Last 24 Hours
During the past 24 hours, light rain was recorded in Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Koderma, and Bokaro. Mahro in Dumka recorded the highest rainfall of 23.6 mm. However, the lack of rain in many districts of the state has led to a humid climate.
Why Is The Weather Changing?
According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon trough is currently moving through Jaisalmer and southeast Rajasthan. This has led to increased moisture levels in Jharkhand, leading to increased cloud formation and rainfall activity.
The weather body has warned that strong winds of up to 40 to 50 km per hour are possible in many districts. Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected. Isolated heavy rain is also possible in parts of northeast and southern Jharkhand.
