Jagran Correspondent, Jwalamukhi: A shocking incident has surfaced at the Civil Hospital in Jwalamukhi, where patients were served mouldy bread for breakfast, raising concerns over the administration's functioning.

The issue came to light after a video of the incident was shared online, leading to complaints and protests from patients and their attendants.

Video Shows Mouldy Bread Served To Patients

A young woman admitted to the hospital shared a video online of the bread served for breakfast after questioning its quality. The footage clearly shows mould on the slices.

The video quickly went viral, raising concerns about the quality of healthcare and administrative functioning in the hospital.

People Demand Strict Action

Speaking to Jagran.com, patients and attendants alleged that the quality of food served at the hospital has been unsatisfactory for a long time, but the situation jas now escalated. They further stated that any negligence regarding patient health will no longer be tolerated, demanding strict action against those responsible.

BMO Orders Investigation

Recognising the seriousness of the situation, the hospital administration has swung into action. Dr Pawan, the Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Jwalamukhi, took cognisance of the matter and immediately demanded an explanation from the contractor.

He ordered a detailed investigation into the incident, directing strict action against those responsible.

Pawan emphasised that the serving quality of food to patients is a top priority and stated that any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
