Devotees travelling to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple from Prayagraj will now have more frequent transport options, with Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) increasing bus services on the route ahead of the expected rush of pilgrims during Sawan.
Starting today, buses will run to Varanasi every 20 minutes from Vidya Vahini Ground near CMP Degree College in Prayagraj.

- Buses will run from 6 am to 11 pm
- The service will run at intervals of every 20 minutes.
- From 11 pm to 5:30 am, the buses will run at a desired rate depending on demand and availability of passengers.
The transport corporation has asked the regular as well as contracted buses to ply according to passenger traffic. Around 40 additional bus trips have been introduced to ensure smoother travel for devotees heading to Kashi.
The Indian Railways has already started special trains to ply between four Jyotirlingas, including Kashi Vishwanath. With the commencement of new road transport services, pilgrims would get much more ease in their pilgrimage.
Roadways Regional Manager Ravindra Kumar said that passenger traffic has not yet peaked but is expected to rise from Monday. Taking into consideration the expected rush, the department has already made an additional run of 40 buses. More buses shall be added if there is increased passenger demand, Kumar said added that to facilitate the devotees.
