Bomb Threat In Gujarat: Gujarat's police administration and security agencies have been put on alert after receiving a threat to bomb the administrative and political centers in the state. Threatening emails have been received regarding bomb blasts targeting different important and sensitive places in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. This email implicitly threatens to carry out a series of explosions at different places starting from June 10 to September 30.
Details Of The Threat Email
Chief Minister's Office (CMO): There has been a threat to blow up the CM's office in Gandhinagar at 1:11 pm.
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC): There is mention of targeting the main municipal office of Ahmedabad at 3:11 pm.
RSS Office: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office has been reported to be blown up with a blast at 5:11 pm.
AMC Main Office Evacuated
The mail threatened to blow up Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) headquarters in the Danapith area. As soon as the talk of blowing up the building surfaced, the administration ordered immediate evacuation of the entire building. All the office bearers present in the building, including the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Standing Committee Chairman, ruling party leader and Dandak, as well as hundreds of high-ranking officials and staff, moved out of the office.
Search Op, Investigation Begins
As soon as the incident was reported, a convoy of bomb squad, dog squad, fire brigade and local police reached the spot. The entire building has been cordoned off by security personnel and every corner is being thoroughly searched.
On the other hand, security arrangements have also been tightened at the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) and the RSS office in Gandhinagar.
Police patrolling has been increased in the surrounding areas and a close watch is being kept on any suspicious movement.
Cybercrime Team In Action
A special team of cybercrime has been set to work to investigate who sent these serious emails and from where. The wheels of tracing the origin of the emails have been set in motion based on the technical source and IP address. At first glance, this may be an act of creating an atmosphere of fear, but given the current situation, the security agencies are not ready to relax any kind of restraint and the entire matter is being investigated with utmost seriousness.
