Key Features Of Ganga Expressway
The 594-kilometre Ganga Expressway, connecting Meerut to Prayagraj, is being equipped with state-of-the-art safety features to ensure high-speed travel.
To combat the risks of driver fatigue and drowsiness, the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) is installing rumble strips along the corridor, the report added. These strips generate vibrations when a vehicle passes over them, alerting distracted or dozing drivers.
A modern speed monitoring system has been installed along the expressway to curb speeding and reduce the risk of accidents.
