Delhi-NCR Weather Update: Following a relatively cool start to April, Delhi-NCR is now moving toward intense summer conditions, with rising temperatures and dry winds making daytime weather increasingly uncomfortable. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a sharp rise in maximum temperatures over the coming days, signalling a steady intensification of heat across the national capital.

For today, the weather in Delhi and its surrounding regions, including Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and nearby regions, is expected to remain completely clear with bright sunshine. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature is expected to reach around 39 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, while the minimum temperature is likely to settle around 20 degrees Celsius.

Delhi-NCR Weather Update

Station-wise data showed that daytime temperatures stayed above normal across most parts of the national capital. Safdarjung recorded a maximum temperature of 38.2 degrees Celsius, 2.1 degrees above normal. Ridge was the hottest at 39.5 degrees Celsius, a sharp 3.2 degrees above normal.

On the other hand, minimum temperatures were below normal across all stations. Safdarjung recorded 18.2 degrees Celsius, which is 2.8 degrees below normal, while Ridge recorded 19.6 degrees Celsius, 1.9 degrees below normal.

Despite the increasing daytime temperatures, nights have remained relatively cooler than usual.

Delhi-NCR Weather Forecast: What's Ahead?

According to the weather department, the upward trend in temperature is likely to continue, with the maximum temperatures likely to reach around 39 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, while minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 20 degrees Celsius, signalling warmer nights and increasingly intense daytime conditions in the coming days.

Meanwhile, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's air quality remained in the moderate category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 191 at 7 AM on Wednesday.
