Delhi Water Cut: Residents across several parts of the national capital should brace for a temporary disruption in water supply as the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is conducting urgent maintenance work at the Chandrawal Water Works-II pump house.
The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has advised residents to store water in advance and use it judiciously during the maintenance period.

Why Is The Water Supply Disrupted?
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) announced that the Chandrawal Water Works-II will be shut for approximately six hours, starting at 10 AM on April 15. This is due to urgent repairs on the HT panels and HT cables at the pump house of Chandrawal Water Works-II.
Chandrawal Water Works-II will remain shut on 15 April (10 AM onwards for 6 hours) due to urgent maintenance works.

"Chandrawal Water Works-2 will remain shut on April 15 (10 am onwards for 6 hours) due to urgent maintenance work. Water supply may be affected or at low pressure on April 15-16 in several areas," DJB wrote on X.
As a result, residents in several parts of the capital will experience supply disruptions or significantly low water pressure on April 15 and 16. DJB has appealed to the residents to use water judiciously until normal service is fully restored.

Civil lines, Hindu Rao Hospital, and adjoining areas, Kamla Nagar, Shakti Nagar, and adjoining areas, Karol Bagh, Pahar Ganj and NDMC areas, Old & New Rajinder Nagar, Patel Nagar (East & West), Baljeet Nagar, Prem Nagar, Inderpuri and adjoining areas. Parts of the Cantonment areas and South Delhi, etc., will face supply disruptions or significantly low water pressure on April 15 and 16.

The DJB has established dedicated helplines, allowing residents to request emergency water tankers by contacting their nearest emergency control room.
