One buys an expensive product to use for a long time without worrying much. However, things turned out to be different for Rakesh Dayani, who purchased Birkenstock shoes worth Rs 14,000. After 10 months. The customer posted a video on Instagram regarding the same.
Sharing a video on Instagram, Rakesh said that he bought the pair of Birkenstock shoes from the brand outlet at DLF Promenade in Delhi. He mentioned that the Instagram feed featured the shoes frequently and he could not help buying the pair of shoes.
The Birkenstock shoes are originally priced at Rs 13,990 (approximately Rs 14,000); however, he got them at the discounted price of Rs 10,000. The shoes came with an additional sole made of PU and cork to absorb shock.
Shockingly, after six months, he noticed that the stitching has begun to fall out. Following this, he went to the outlet and complained about the shoes.
The brand denied providing any assistance, saying that the shoes had a "three-month warranty." The brand also claimed that no apology or reassurance was issued from the luxury brand's side. The man was turned away without addressing his problem.
