Following the recent drop in international crude oil prices, the latest rates for petrol, diesel, LPG, and CNG have been released. However, the public has not yet received any relief in petrol and diesel prices.

Petrol-Diesel Prices

India government oil companies update the prices of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am. The price of crude oil is currently below USD 84 per barrel. On Monday, the prices of Brent crude and WTI came down. At the time of filing this report, Brent crude had fallen by about USD 4 and was at USD 83.74 per barrel.

Since there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel in India, petrol is being sold at Rs 102.12 and diesel at Rs 95.20 per litre. In Kolkata and Chennai, petrol is being sold at Rs 113.05 and diesel at Rs 97.80 per litre.

Commercial LPG Cylinders Become Cheaper

While petrol and diesel prices remain stable, there has been a significant reduction in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. Effective August 1, the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has been reduced by more than Rs 200. This will benefit hotels, restaurants, dhabas, and other commercial establishments.

However, there has been no change in the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder. Domestic consumers will continue to receive the cylinder at the old rates.

Looking at individual states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, or Jharkhand, in Lucknow, the domestic cylinder is currently priced at Rs 979.5 and the commercial cylinder at Rs 2,860.5. In Bhopal, the domestic cylinder is priced at Rs 970 and the commercial cylinder at Rs 2,746. In Ranchi, the 14.2-kg cylinder is priced at Rs 999.5 and the commercial cylinder at Rs 2,922.5.

Check CNG Price

CNG prices remain unchanged in most major cities across the country. According to the rates posted on IGL's website, CNG prices in Delhi remain stable at Rs 83.09 per kilogram. The price of a 1-kg CNG remains at Rs 91.70 in Noida and Rs 91.70 in Ghaziabad.
