The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Samrat Choudhary is set to be sworn in as the next Chief Minister of Bihar, the first from the party to hold the post after ally Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar announced his resignation on Tuesday.

However, the political equation is seeing a dramatic shift with the emergence of Nishant Kumar, Nitish Kumar’s son. His name is now being widely discussed, with reports suggesting he is being considered for the post of Deputy Chief Minister, according to Jagran.com.

THESE JDU Ministers Likely To Take Oath In Samrat Choudhary's Cabinet

According to Jagran.com, several senior JDU leaders are likely to find a place in the new cabinet. Names doing the rounds include:

- Vijendra Yadav, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, and Shravan Kumar, Ashok Chaudhary, Leshi Singh
and Madan Sahni are also being considered.

- Additionally, Mohd Zama Khan is among the probable candidates. Factors such as experience and social representation are said to be key considerations. The final list, however, is yet to receive approval from the top leadership.

BJP’s Probable Picks

From the BJP camp, leaders likely to secure ministerial berths include:

Leaders from NDA allies are also expected to be accommodated. These include:

While the broad contours of the cabinet are emerging, the final list will be cleared by the top leadership before the swearing-in ceremony.
