Randeep Hooda travelled to Assam to engage in a flood relief distribution program run by a non-governmental organisation in Sivasagar. On Saturday, the Bollywood actor distributed meals and other necessities to people affected by the floods.

Later, Randeep Hooda went to the nearby Gurudwara Sahib and prayed for the people in flood-affected Assam.

Speaking to the media present there, Randeep Hooda said, "This is the Sivasagar railway station, and many affected families have come here from the surrounding areas. Sowe make the food, bring it to them, and have been doing this every day for the last seven days."

The actor further added, "I would urge everybody to contribute in whichever way they can to help people, not just here, but wherever there is a problem. As human beings, it is our duty to help our fellow human beings. That is why we are here."

 

 

Randeep Hooda accompanied members of Global Sikh, which has been doing relief efforts for the past few days in various flood-affected districts of Sivasagar and the nearby Charaideo district.

According to Randeep Hooda, he and the team have already set up a number of basic amenities for flood victims. "The team has already done a lot of research on what they need, mostly people need immediate relief in everyday amenities, food and things like a place to sleep, a mattress, a torpiline."

The National-winning actor added, "So, we are making kits, and we'll be distributing them to whoever needs them, and our team is also out there looking for people who have not received help yet, so we are trying to do that as well."

Randeep Hooda commended the efforts and urged them to keep helping those in need. His visit raised awareness of the continuing humanitarian crisis in Upper Assam and offered support to numerous flood-affected families.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt have also volunteered to help with relief efforts and spread awareness. The celebrities are pleading with fans to assist flood-affected families in need with necessary materials.

Additionally, Bhumi Pednekar asked people to give necessities like food, bedding, and sanitary supplies.

About The Assam Floods

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) reported that 82 persons have died in the state's floods thus far.

The chief minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, thanked industrialist Gautam Adani earlier on Friday for donating Rs 11 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, which supports relief and reconstruction efforts for the state's flood victims.
