Mohanlal's Upcoming Movie Athimanoharam: The legendary Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has thrilled his fans on the auspicious occasion of Vishu by officially announcing the title of his 366th film. Previously referred to as L366, the movie is now officially titled Athimanoharam. The makers also released a striking first-look poster.

The newly unveiled poster features Mohanlal in a powerful police avatar, standing amidst pilgrims on their way to the Sabarimala Temple. Fans have been quick to praise the Malayalam actor’s look, specifically noting his classic twirled moustache. The film began its production schedule on January 23 in Thodupuzha, Kerala. The script has been written by Ratheesh Ravi. The technical team also includes cinematographer Shaji Kumar, music composer Jakes Bejoy, and National Award-winning editor Vivek Harshan.

Athimanoharam marks a significant return for Mohanlal, who is playing a police officer for the first time in four years. His last perform in uniform was as Shivdev IPS in the 2022 film Monster. This project also marks a high-profile reunion between the Malayalam actor and director Tharun Moorthy. The duo previously collaborated on the 2025 hit Thudarum.

Mohanlal's Upcoming Project

Beyond this release, Mohanlal has a busy 2026 ahead. He is set to star alongside Mammootty in the highly anticipated film Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. Following a period of uncertainty regarding a ban by the Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK) over revenue-sharing disputes, the ban has officially been lifted. FEUOK president K Vijayakumar confirmed the resolution, stating,"The decision followed discussions with producer Anto Joseph."

Patriot is now scheduled to hit theatres on May 1, 2026.
