Love Island USA Season 8 Voting Explained: Love Island USA viewers will have to wait a little longer for the results of the first public vote of the season. On Tuesday night, shortly after episode seven aired on the streaming service Peacock, the show announced that voting had officially opened on the Love Island USA mobile app. However, when eager fans opened the app to cast their choices, they were met with technical glitches and a frustrating message that read 'network error'.

How Can Fans Vote For Love Island USA Season 8 Contestants?

The technical problems began right after the show's official Instagram account posted the voting schedule. The initial social media post stated, “Vote tonight to choose which Islanders the new Bombshells — Sol, Jen, and Caleb — should couple up with! Voting opens at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT and closes at 1 a.m. E.T./10 p.m. PT. Voting is open in the U.S. only. Link in our bio”.

Furious viewers quickly went to social media to share their frustration. One user commented on Instagram, “Alright yall cutting into my bed time not having this app working!”. Another fan added, “Network error on the app I’m gonna lose it. Better extend that voting”. Over on X (formerly Twitter), a third viewer asked, “Anyone else having issues with voting? Keepings saying network error”. Whilst the app failed for many, a few people managed to vote successfully after deleting and redownloading the app or repeatedly refreshing the page. Once the voting window officially closed, the show released an update on Instagram to address the technical difficulties.

Love Island USA Season 8 team apologised for the issue, writing, “For those of you experiencing issues registering to vote, we apologise for the inconvenience. Our team is actively working on it. Stay tuned for updates”.

Love Island USA Season 8 Episode 7 Recap

The purpose of this first vote is to decide how three new bombshells: Caleb McDaniel, Jen Terry, and Sol Dean will fit into the villa. Viewers were asked to pair Caleb with one of the current girls: Aniya Harvey, Beatriz Hatz, Kayda Bosse, Kenzie Annis, Melanie Moreno, or Trinity Tatum. Meanwhile, fans voted to pair Jen and Sol with one of the boys: Bryce Dettloff, Corbin Mimis, Gabriel Vasconcelos, KC Chandler, Sincere Rhea, or Zach Georgiou. 

The official results of this public vote are scheduled to be revealed on Thursday, June 11, 2026, during the eighth episode of the season.
