RCB vs LSG IPL 2026: Where is Mayank Yadav? The Lucknow Supergiants star fast bowler, who gained everyone's attention post a flying start during IPL 2025, had bowled at the speed of 156.7 kmph. But injuries hampered his stint last season, and he hasn't played a single game this year. Tom Moody, the Director of cricket for the Lucknow-based franchise, has provided updates on Mayank Yadav's absence during the ongoing IPL season and emphasized that it was due to his inability to be match-ready, rather than any fitness issues. His career hasn't been straightforward, as injuries and lengthy rehab periods have kept him out of competitive action for almost a year. He featured in just two matches during IPL 2025 and played his last in May, when he leaked 60 runs against the Punjab Kings.
"Mayank is ready to go. Early in the tournament, we didn't consider him because he was a little underdone, not in fitness, as his fitness was fine. Still, in bowling loads and feeling comfortable at the crease," Tom Moody, LSG director, told reporters at the pre-match press conference.
Moody also revealed that Yadav might now be included in the playing XI after sweating it out. Still, his availability has led to a selection headache, as their bowlers have performed consistently well, even though their batters haven't been able to perform up to the mark.

"We feel he is now at that point. He has worked exceptionally hard. It does give us a selection headache since our bowling has been solid so far, though our batsmen have not produced enough runs," he said.
As per ESPNCricinfo, just one day before the match against the Rajat Patidar-led side, Yadav was seen bowling during the training session at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
