When Will ODI World Cup 2027 Begin?
The 2027 ODI World Cup is scheduled to begin on October 2, 2027, with the final set to be played on November 21, 2027.
The tournament will return to Africa after 24 years, with South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia serving as co-hosts.
The ICC has announced 12 venues across the three countries, including eight in South Africa, three in Zimbabwe and one in Namibia.
ODI World Cup 2027: Teams And Qualification
The tournament will have 14 teams, with the qualification process determining the final line-up.
South Africa and Zimbabwe have automatic qualification as hosts, while other teams are securing their places through the ICC ODI rankings. The remaining berths will be decided through the Qualifiers.
India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Australia, England, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are among the teams expected to be part of the tournament, while West Indies face the qualification route after missing out on direct qualification.
The complete schedule, including India's fixtures and the dates and venues of the major clashes, will be revealed during the Cape Town launch event on October 1.
