RCB vs LSG IPL 2026: Lucknow Super Giants star opener Mitchell Marsh had batted brilliantly in their IPL 2026 match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Wednesday. He had scored a gritty 40 off 32 balls, smashing three fours and two sixes. One-sixth had gone outside the venue. He had smashed this six on the last ball of the third over during the first innings. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar had bowled a short delivery, and Marsh had smashed it towards deep mid-wicket.
The shot was so brilliantly played that the ball had cleared the stadium roof and traveled 102m.

The Bengaluru franchise won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Rishabh Pant-led side.

The host made just one change in their playing XI, with Josh Hazlewood coming in for Jacob Duffy, whereas Virat Kohli has been playing this match as the impact player. The Lucknow-based franchise fielded the same playing XI.
Post winning the toss, RCB skipper Rajat Patidar revealed, "We're gonna bowl first. It's pretty obvious. I see a pretty good surface. So, we bowl first, take advantage of the first innings, and keep the pressure. Not much (on the pitch). The previous game had a lot of grass. But I think this wicket, I think there is no grass. So, it will be a good track. But yeah, let's see. I think everyone is doing pretty well for the team (on the necessary improvements) and coming into the different stages and performing well. I think that's what the team stands for—just one change. Josh Hazlewood comes in place of Duffy".
LSG skipper Rishabh Pant said, "It's a good wicket to bat on. Whether batting or bowling first, you have to play better cricket. We aim to regroup, take ownership of our roles, and not overanalyze our play."

"We just want to trust in the group. Hopefully, people will put their hand up and say, " Hey, I'm going to win the match for the team (on what they need to do better). Definitely, you know, we talk about being leaders. And there are many leaders in the group. You know, eventually, you've got to go out there and perform at the same time, soak in that pressure for the team, and try to do well. We're playing with the same team," he concluded.
