Duleep Trophy 2026-27: Complete Schedule, Squads, Format, Fixtures And All You Need To Know

The Indian domestic cricket season will begin with the 2026-27 Duleep Trophy. The prestigious first-class tournament gets underway on August 23 and runs until September 10 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

The competition once again returns in the zonal format, bringing together some of India's finest domestic and international cricketers in a battle for early-season supremacy.

Several established Indian stars, including Ishan Kishan, Rajat Patidar, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Rinku Singh, and Prithvi Shaw, are set to feature in the tournament, making this year's edition one of the strongest in recent memory.

For many players, the Duleep Trophy will also serve as an opportunity to claim their place in India's squad ahead of the international season.

The previous edition saw Central Zone lift the title after defeating South Zone by six wickets in the final under the leadership of Rajat Patidar.

All eyes will now be on whether they can defend their crown against the country's best regional sides.

Live Streaming And Match Details

Format: The 2026–27 Duleep Trophy will see a single-elimination knockout bracket format featuring six regional zonal teams.

Central Zone and South Zone receive direct byes to the semifinals as last season’s finalists, while the remaining four zones play opening quarterfinal matches. Quarter-finals and semi-finals are four-day matches, while the final is a five-day match.
