Samrat Choudhary Net Worth: Samrat Choudhary has been elected as Bharatiya Janta Party's (BJP) leader in the state assembly on Tuesday in a meeting held at the party's office in Patna and is set to become the saffron party's first chief minister for the state.   

The development breaks days of suspense over Bharatiya Janta Party CM face in the state ever since Nitish Kumar announced to step down from the post that he held for a decade. Nitish Kumar, who is Janta Dal United's national president--held the position since 2005. 

Choudhary, currently serving as deputy chief minister, is likely to be sworn in for the top post soon. He has a net worth of crores, including investment in mutual funds, gold and ancestral wealth.

Samrat Choudhary Net Worth

Samrat declared a total Net worth of around Rs 11.31 crore, including family and ancestral assets. According to his election affidavit, ancestral Property valued at approximately Rs 8.20 crore.

Choudhary has a notable investments exposer in stocks, mutual funds and other investment instruments.  

The portfolio includes Franklin India Equity Fund (Rs 4.18 lakh), HDFC Midcap Fund (Rs 5.23 lakh), and Nippon India Retirement Fund (Rs 22 lakh). Smarat has around Rs 10.28 lakh in PFF. He holds cash and savings bank Balance of nearly Rs 1.35 lakh and Rs 13.27 lakh across bank accounts.

According to media reports, 200 grams of gold and inherited jewellery worth approximately Rs 60 lakh (combined with the spouse).

He inherited a Bolero car, a rifle, and a revolver. Samrat has not declared any debt. Meanwhile, Choudhary’s personal income in 2024–25 was listed around Rs 17.91 lakh, with his spouse having an income of Rs 12.73 lakh.

Choudhary is the son of 7-time MLA/MP Shakuni Choudhary and MLA Parvati Devi. He received political support from the Kushwaha community, which turned out to be a big legacy for him. His father was a heavyweight politician in the RJD, who had been a vocal critic of Nitish.
